Island Irish Ceili's
The Vashon Celts have been hosting ceili's for four years at the Grange Hall.
Ceili's are Irish Country folk dances, easy to learn & fun for the entire
family. We rotate dance instructor's, like Kathleen O'Grady Graham, and
they get
beginners dancing on their first visit after a few footwork lessons.
We walk thru all dances first, and then the music & laughs start up.
The Gold Ring band provides our lively musical inspiration.
Your dance card will include a waltz, polka, traditional Irish Set Dance,
reels, jigs and no partner is necessary. This is not
Riverdance - its folk dancing and suitable to all ages. Wear cool lightweight clothing and shoes that glide (like a leather soled
shoe). The smiles don't lie, we have a great time & look forward to meeting
you at the next Vashon ceili ! |
