The Museum
of Mining is located behind the
Univ of MT, Butte College Campus at the former Orphan Girl Mine,
once owned by Irish Emigrant Marcus Daly.
The museum features a vast mineral display
and a simulation of the old mining community
including 50 structures and the old headframe tower.
